   Santorum seems to think that Satan is literal, which I don’t accept. But if I take “Satan” as metaphor for our many weaknesses and moral failings, I have no problem whatsoever with what Santorum is saying. As the cartoon suggests, we ARE in grave moral peril at the moment (whether or not we agree on the source) and laughing it off could be the last thing we ever do.

   And politics aside, I love the “Twilight Zone” reference here!

   He was also in another episode of the Twilight Zone where he and his wife were in a small, strange town and their car broke down. He kept putting coins into the machine with the “devil’s” head and it kept spitting out general nonsense which he turned into his fears. Looks like santorum is repeating that one too.
