I swear, I just DON’T GET this whole, “Obama wants to be Emperor!” idea. One one hand, people say ’he’s pushy!‘, then they say, "he can’t get anything done!"

Besides, each president tries to expand the Executive Branch’s powers, and he hasn’t done anything any more ridiculous than any other president.

I agree that a lot of the presidents increase their executive power, which I do not nor ever have agreed with, but Obama has been using his WAY too much. He’s he first president I’ve seen to tell Congress that he would bypass their power to make executive orders. It doesn’t matter whether your left or right, he has way too much power that is going unchecked.

If you bother to do what Reagan said to do, VERIFY what you hear on the FOX fantasy, lies and propaganda network you will find GWB way ahead. Main reason Obama has to is the GOP (Dixiecrats) want to destroy the economy so they can regain total control. If you bother to see what they want is to do away with ALL birth control (pills, rubbers, etc.), abortions -even if mother’s life at stake, minimum wage, and privatize Social Security, Mail, Medicare, etc. Obama care is based on Romney Care (very popular) which is based on a GOP think foundation/Insurance companies ideal.

The Imperial Presidency by Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr., is a book published in 1973 by Houghton Mifflin.
This book details the history of the Presidency of the United States from its conception by the Founding Fathers, through latter half of the 20th century. The author wrote the Imperial Presidency out of two concerns; first that the U.S. Presidency was out of control and second that the Presidency had exceeded the Constitutional limits.1 A presidency becomes imperial when it relies on powers beyond those allowed by the Constitution. The Constitution established three separate branches of government not for efficiency but to avoid the arbitrary exercise of power. The government outlined by the Constitution was to replace and improve upon the imperial executive government of British King George III.2 The book links the President’s accumulation of foreign powers during wartimes to the accretion of domestic powers.

Teapublicans pretend that history began in January of 2009. Bush left economic messes, military messes, VA messes… he was the complete package! And now, if anybody should have the nerve to point out how Bush.. and the Teapublican party.. have set Obama up for more than just his own failures, well, the Fox phony “They blame Bush for everything!” comes out of the closet.

Just curious… if Bush isn’t to blame, why haven’t the Teapublicans included him in their party activities? He’s poison that way. We ALL know he was a disaster, we just disagree on whether that disaster keeps on hurting us. Well, the Gulf oil spill was 4 years ago, and yet the damage continues.

To “Rad-ish”, sorry but your comment is way over the usual “O’Buma is our saviour and Bush stinkis” crowd, the same nit-wits that accuse anyone not agreeing with O’Buma as a racist. I wonder if they even know that the man who said we need “to judge people by the content of their character and not the color of their skin” (paraphrased) was a card carrying Republican?

I’ll let their records speak for themselves. But I remember Bush supporters during those dark days whining about how we (liberals) should at least respect the office. The office of current President Barrack Obama gets no absolutely no respect from the right.

The worst part of this has been how the press has let President Obama get away with his many executive overreaches just because they largely agree with his politics.
