It was wrong then and it is wrong now. Bush was not a good president, but we haven’t had a good president for quite some time. Obama just happens to be the worst of in a long line of bad.
As I’ve said before, it doesn’t matter which lever you pick any more…America is still getting flushed. The only difference there “may” be is the speed of the swirl.

Bush, jr released those he’d rightly imprisoned who had served their time. An honest warden ALWAYS releases those who’ve served their time.

Obama is releasing some of the top al-Qaeda leadership who have already indicated that they have a secret plan to kill thousands in an unstoppable terrorist attack. These are some of the people who destroyed the World Trade Center and then returned to a heroes’ welcome before Bush, jr had them captured. After all, Afghani and Pakistani peasants were offered 100 years’ income to turn in the worst terrorists, and many complied. For that much money, one can be sure that they really turned in the worst of the worst. And now Obama is letting those goatherds go, and they’ll soon be back to impose Sharia Law on America with their crooks and their staffs.

It is comical to see the same people who revere Ronald Reagan get their collective knickers in a knot about negotiating with terrorists.

I am afraid we have always dealt with terrorist, Regan arms for hostages cost him the Senate. Still right now I would rather of Reagan’s mistake then what we have now. Clinton did not kill Bin Laden because he was meeting with the Turkish Ambassador at the time. Sad and sick. Need to do a lot less.

It is comical to see all the people led around on the Obama nose ring constantly look back to some GOP target and say “See, they did it too”, as if that means something.
Wrong is wrong. Two wrongs don’t make it right. You would think that after the first wrong was committed there would be no similar second wrong (you know, learn from past mistakes), but not with Obama. He keeps repeating everyone else’s mistakes, plus making an abundance of his own unique blunders.
It also seems that when Obama copies some prior presidents error, he makes a special effort to make his own error even more egregious.

The Taliban is a political party, and was the government of Afghanistan, not a “terrorist” organization. They gave safe harbor to the ‘terrorists’ al Qaeda, so we overthrew that government. The 5 released were Taliban military, not ‘terrorists’.

“Clinton did not kill Bin Laden because he was meeting with the Turkish Ambassador at the time.”

bin Laden was just a two-bit terrorist at the time, and not worth a Delta Team to kill him. Clinton did bot give the order to kill bin Laden on two occasions for the same reason, and with the same advice from NSA, CIA and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs all in the room. We could not take the shot and still get our people out.

Simpleton libs like Mechanic rant about Bush being a horrible prez yet every time Oblunder has a failure, they justify it by saying “Bush did it too”.
Even third graders have learned not use to the “Johnny did it too” excuse. Too funny.
    Btw….GREAT TOON!

“Two wrongs don’t make it right.”

Absolutely true. My only point is that those who see that the emperor has no clothes did not see so clearly in the past. We as a nation need to stop ignoring what “our guys” do, while losing our temper when “their guys” do the same thing. And this is one very good example of just that issue.

It Is Okay ONLY if there is not a law requiring Congressional notification 30 days prior, which was not the case at that time. The law was passed by Congress, signed by 0bama, and then ignored by 0bama. A president ignoring the laws of the country to impose his own will? Sure sounds like a dictatorship to me.

“You do realize that you are complaining about people looking back to past mistakes and pointing them out and then you are complaining that people aren’t looking back at past mistakes, right?
Yeah, yeah, I know, it was okay for those past presidents because they didn’t know any better, (really they were just the right political affiliation) but it’s not okay for President Obama to make the same mistakes because he should know better, All that argument serves to do is excuse past abuses, blunders and mistakes.”
If you are only looking back at others mistakes to justify your own, that is not only wrong it is incorrigible. Likewise if you are not looking back to ensure you do not make the same mistakes, that is just as wrong.
I have no political affiliation because there is no member of either party worthy of my affiliation, and I NEVER stated that Obama should know better, because I know that is something far beyond his capacity.
