It’s been estimated that 75 percent of Americans believe in the paranormal, while only 54 percent believe global warming has begun. Ramirez fits slides into the 75%.

    Hmmmm.
What about white – on – white crime?

There is way more of that.

I don’t see how those two are relevant. Chicago has some of the worst black-on-black murder rates in the country, and yet idiots like Sharpton and Jackson never mention anything about those. Or in LA with gangs. Or New York. These liberal strongholds, where they tout how much they care about blacks, are some of the worst environments for the very people they purport to be helping. If this case shows us anything, it’s that the talking bobbleheads will pander to their base and work people up in a froth just to get their message heard.

I would have used the word “Priorities”. Why, for example, did every news channel spend weeks showing the Jody Arias trial? If it was the only murder trial in the country at the time, I could understand it. But there are murders every day. Who decided we wanted “All Jody, All the Time”? It happens constantly: a child missing in Seattle is tragic, but there are children who go missing every day all over the country. Why do they go unmentioned?

And our own troops are being injured and dying every day in the Middle East. In my local paper today, there is not one word about the Middle East. Nothing.

What is wrong with us? What makes us overly concerned with one example, while we pay no attention to the hundreds or thousands of others?

So, basically, you’re saying that somewhere between 54% and 75% of people are idiots?

    I’d say you’re in those odds…

    OK Jase, how’s this.

Conelly. The definition of paranormal is: “of or pertaining to the claimed occurrence of an event or perception without scientific explanation, as psychokinesis, extrasensory perception, or other purportedly supernatural phenomena.”

Now black on black deaths in Chicago. This is a Wiki article that is dated but relevant.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_in_Chicago

    Some excerpts:

In 2005, 75% of murders involved a firearm, and 11% were the result of a stabbing. 41% of domestic murders were stabbings. 10% of murders in 2005 (39) were the result of an armed robbery, 9% were of undetermined cause, and at least 30% were gang altercations.

76% of victims were African American (77.4% of offenders were), 18.3% were Hispanic (17.3% of offenders), and 5.6% were white (5.3% of offenders).

The black murder victimization rate was approximately 34 per 100,000; the Hispanic rate was 11 per 100,000, and the white rate 3 per 100,000.

While all 2005 data, it does indicate that Ramirez is right.

Another article from 6/6/13 on the subject says:

More than 500 murders in 2012, and approximately 150 so far this year. 75% of the victims are Black. And most of it is Black on Black violence. Gang violence. Drug related violence. Crimes of passion. Crimes of opportunity.

    The article references this:

    https://portal.chicagopolice.org/…

“While I appreciate the fact that flogging George Zimmerman as a sport is second only to conducting a vivisection upon Sheriff Joe Arpaio, it would be nice to see this community express a similar degree of outrage and angst over the level of violence in Chicago.” – blogger Kieth930

Sad but true, the real reason for the political back lash on Travon Martin is that the White community is tired of being called Racist. More people in this country think the Black community is racist than the White Community.

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/jul/4/americans-say-blacks-more-racist-whites-rasmussen-/

The below is the most important part of the Rasmussen poll, even more blacks call blacks more racist then blacks call whites racist.

Rasmussen said: “Among black Americans, 31 percent think most blacks are racist, while 24 percent consider most whites racist and 15 percent view most Hispanics that way. Among white adults, 10 percent think most white Americans are racist, 38 percent believe most blacks are racist and 17 percent say most Hispanics are racist.”

Dead nuts right. Black on black crime is responsible for almost 100% of the black crime problem. But if you listen to Race Bait Inc, the KKK has been over-running Chicago and shooting up the place. The solution? Ban rocket propelled grenade launchers.

Sharpton and Jackson do talk about black on black violence, it just doesn’t get any press attention.
Liberals/progressives/democrats are also concerned about black on black violence but in general see it largely as an economic/poverty issue and feel, among other things, that investments in improving housing, quality education from pre-k to a college degree, and economic security (i.e., things middle-class and wealthier people, who are historically and currently disproportionately white, take for granted) are ways to reduce violence in general, including black on black violence. It isn’t an easy task, and certainly made more difficult by those who fight government spending/programs, and usually isn’t exciting enough to make the the news cycle.

and i remember in the 1990s when Jackson and others were talking about black on black violence and all the knuckleheads were critical about it saying “well, does that mean they are for black on white violence?” blah blah blah. so damned if they do, damned if they don’t.
