Two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Michael Ramirez combines an encyclopedic knowledge of the news with a captivating drawing style to create consistently outstanding editorial cartoons.
"Editorial cartoons should be smart and substantive, provocative and informative. They should stir passions and deep emotions. Editorial cartoons should be the catalyst for thought, and frankly speaking, if you can make politicians think, that is an accomplishment in itself."

Same thing Lester did: read the partial quote on a ticker on Fox News and apply it out of context. Just like “You didn’t build it.”

She is easily the most arrogant woman in politics.

I guess now we know the entire theme for the 4 day Republican convention in 2016.
Wraithkin said, 4 months ago
It’s not that this is a snippet taken out of context. She is trying to disarm the situation by asking the question, “what’s the point of going back and pointing fingers.” The problem is that with her comments, they sounded as if she is dismissing the problem, instead of addressing it. It sounds arrogant, reckless, and (to be perfectly blunt) irresponsible.

What a vile and lying cartoon. On par with Ramirez’ other work…

What difference does it make?

“Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided they’d go kill some Americans? What difference, at this point, does it make?”
Yeah, I’m just an old retired railroad worker. Sure I served in Viet Nam, saw some hairy situations, questioned my orders a time or two but carried them out. Maybe I’m just looking at this the wrong way. BUT…..
Should the event and the immediate false story that was pushed by the administration, perhaps to minimize the political fallout for a president with a reelection in progress make no difference? Should we just take the word of a group of people that are doing their level best to cover up that there is nothing to cover up? Do we just sit back and allow our government to lie to us over and over again (and I do include Bush, the other Clinton and every president’s admin in the past so don’t go there). When do we hold our representatives, our hired servants accountable? Never?
So she goes on to say:
“It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, Senator. Now, honestly, I will do my best to answer your questions about this. But the fact is that people were trying in real time to get the best information…”
Really? So with real time information coming in, no protest in the area at the time, a coordinated hours long attack with requests for air support (denied, never happened to me in the RVN) and they were trying to “get the best information” and they came out with a spontaneous protest gone bad? What about the 2 previous bombings in the 5 months previous? Did anyone think that someone might be planning something esle on 9/11? What about the request for addition security(denied)? Incompetence at best.
So she goes on:
“But, you know, to be clear, it is, from my perspective, less important today looking backwards as to why these militants decided they did it than to find them and bring them to justice, and then maybe we’ll figure out what was going on in the meantime.”
Yes, so that’s why it took so long to bring in investigators. Bring the to justice. Yeah, that’s why the only real suspect has been freed and we were denied access to him. Yeah, justice. That must be why no one can find the survivors so we can ask them what really happened.
This administration is the most corrupt, the least transparent of any I have ever seen including Bush. And after making all those sweet promises to “change” and be the “most ethical” and the “most transparent” of any ever.
Go ahead, continue to make excuses. It will not be long before you will be unable to turn on your water without permission (oh right we’re already at that point)

Sooo… any thoughts about why GWB decided to ignore the evidence that could have prevented the 9/11 attacks? Or how about why they ignored the intelligence that would have nullified our reason for invading Iraq, costing over 4000 US lives? Or maybe why he decided it was better to invade Iraq based on shaky intelligence and draw away manpower that could have been used to capture/kill Osama Bin Laden within the first year after 9/11, thereby weakening his message, neutering Al-Qaeda, and therefore preventing the situation in Benghazi from happening in the first place?
What difference does it make – of course.

Bruce, go turn on your water right now. Don’t even ask for permission, I bet you can do it if you really try. You don’t even have to fill out any forms. Now do you feel better?

So you listened out of context. Go read the transcript, especially the part about the ongoing search for the perpetrators."
why look for them? I found them.
http://www.cnn.com/2013/01/16/world/africa/algeria-attack/index.html
Even if it was not them per say that pulled the trigger. We did nothing to deter a future embolden act such as this.
That Miss Clinton is what a different. If you and the Running President where not so focused on the political cover your but “spontaneous” and “YouTube video” Maybe just maybe you might have stumbled into the truth and did something but spin spin spin a story that would embolden the enemy.

Who took the blame for the FIRST 9/11? I don’t remember anyone pointing fingers back then…. just let’s get the SOBs responsible…. got to make political hey, drag that old red herring out to cover up my parties screw ups.

Just sayin…good for the goose, good for the gander.

You people are all vile and despicable. YOU and Ramirez are the ones exploiting the deaths of those four Americans for political gain, and fortunately most of the country saw right through you. Most of the country realized it’s not a scandal or corruption to be wrong about why we were attacked; and it’s not a scandal or corruption or even incompetence that we WERE attacked.
All of you armchair quarterbacks with 20/20 hindsight – every last one of you – surely defended the Bush administration from charges o incompetence and corruption when it was discovered that they were WARNED of an impending Al Qaeda attack by several sources and yet did nothing to tighten security. You’re all a bunch of filthy, lying hypocrites.

No not Bitchy Captain Colorado is right. The Senate was trying to get to the bottom of the issue and then she tries to make herself look like the good guy by saying “What difference, at this point, does it make? It our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again”. Well isn’t that what the Senate was trying to do?
That is Arrogant.
Great toon today by the way.
