OK, that is very good, all of you people that have commented on this strip. Now, just what do we in the US do about it?

Our elected government is the only entity that has the ability to do most of anything about this in any way at all. Perhaps by heavily taxing those corporations that deliberately move millions of jobs outside of the US? Or if you like solving a problem like this outside of the government, just buying only those goods (even if we the consumer has to pay more for such goods) made in the USA?

Remember, solutions! solutions! solutions! Just carping about a problem on these comment boards is NOT going to do any good whatever about ANY problems brought up by these editorial cartoonists!!!!!

“The tax which will be paid for the purpose of education is not more than the thousandth part of what will be paid to kings, priests and nobles who will rise up among us if we leave the people in ignorance.”
    — Thomas Jefferson
Pay up, people. The media priests and hedge fund nobles are rising.

If you buy cheap Chinese crap made in cheap Chinese sweatshops (and poison shops, and radioactive shops…..) you’ll be hungry to buy more cheap Chinese crap a few minutes later!

No chip used in critical systems should be purchased from non-domestic manufacturers. A small addition of some read only memory in the design with a “short circuit” command triggered by some permutation of 256(?). Hack in, send the permutation, and you could physically destroy critical infrastructure, not just disrupt it.

Thank you. My sentiments exactly. I recognize that our “representatives” could care less whether we care about anything or not, but they do understand numbers.

Polls showed that 90% of Americans favored expanded background checks, but the 10% spoke; they spoke loudly, and they spoke often. If they will listen to 10% and ignore 90%, can we dare to dream what will happen if more than 10% contact them?

I promise to do my part.

Mikefive: about that stuff we get from Israel? Hmm, who set up the hack that screwed up Iran’s centrifuges, and several other countries equipment as “collateral damage”?

Not quite what I’m talking about, trout. What I’m talking about will destroy hardware, not sneak up on you.
