Looks like the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy also ended on that island.

Matt offends everyone in his ‘cartoons’ and offends viewers with his ugly drawings.

    @Rockngolfer

Thanks for the smiles provided by your 2 posts, Rockngolfer. Fits the cartoon well.
@ Ransom – I don’t always agree with Mr. Wuerker’s statements, but I do enjoy his art.
He probably does offend many people, but I think an equal number probably prefer his art to some of the others upon whom we comment.
    Respectfully,
    C.

Being part of “everyone,” I disagree. I’m not offended and I like his drawings. I think that makes your statement incorrect.

An excerpt from a report on N.P.R….

Israel, Germany and Canada are among the countries that have already marched down the path the U.S. will soon follow in allowing women a role in front-line combat units. And most experts say the integration of women into such roles elsewhere has gone smoothly, despite concerns as to whether they would be up to the physical demands and about the question of fraternization between male and female troops. The announcement of the U.S. policy shift came Thursday, with Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta saying the armed services have until 2016 to fully implement the change. As we reported earlier, American women have found themselves on the front lines in Iraq and Afghanistan, but the move would allow them to serve in combat units for the first time. Panetta said Thursday that 152 U.S. servicewomen had died serving in the two conflicts.

My friend told his mother that knock-knock, and when she re-told it, it went this way:
    Knock Knock.
    Who’s there?
    Herb and Shirley.
    Herb and Shirley Who?
    Herb and Shirley Freeman!
(Sung, of course, to the right tune.)
I guess she didn’t really get the joke when she heard it.

Ransom is offended because he doesn’t think women can be equal to men. Very few people would agree with him.

Just put them all in the same unit, wait til their cycles sync and send them out one week a month. Shortest wars ever!

    That’s hilarious.
My older sister studied music and was a music teacher for a while.
I was in about the 8th grade when we went 150 miles to her college to see South Pacific acted by the students.
They did Annie Get Your Gun another Time.
