    Way too many books for the Bush Library. And just one got cracked open – My Pet Goat.

    Bummer. I was hoping for an alternative history section.

    You wish it were fiction,
    You wish it were fiction so bad you created a fictional TV show, West Wing.
    You wish it were fiction because when you compare President George Bush to President Obama, Bush is a clear leader in Chief, Bush inspires and Bush unites. I think President Obama is still in campaign mode.

    United we stand, Divided we fall;
    Why do I keep getting the impression that President Obama is trying to divide us? Divide the US.

    “…..Why do I keep getting the impression that President Obama is trying to divide us? Divide the US…..”
    .
    I have no idea why you might think that, but I’d try going off the strong stuff.
    .
    Don’t confuse blatant use of guns and bombs to solve complex problems with leadership. Give me a leader any day who impassionately reviews all the options, considers the pros and the cons, and works toward not using the military to solve complex problems.

    Give me a Leader who does not just review and throw empty threats and unites the people instead of throwing money at those he wants to vote for his party. There is always a need to review and discuss the issues, but it must be done between more than just one thought process as Obama appears to do in his administration. When do we as a Nation say enough is enough instead of moving the line every time it gets stepped on? Syria, Iran and North Korea are threats to those around the world, but there does not seem to be much more than rhetoric being tossed about. Again, let’s not jump into war, but let’s stand up against these leaders as I am sure you would like to see also.

    Matt, I’m betting there is also a “Good Christian” section.

    Why is it that presidential libraries these days contain so many artifacts and so few actual books? I mean, with the exception of course of GWB library, that reason is obvious. I wonder if he has “My Pet Goat” somewhere at least…

    Zawahiri, the leader of Al-Quida, and Hamas would also like Al-Assad removed from power so they can install their own brand of Islamic government. Should the U.S. be partners with al-Qaida and Hamas? Its difficult to find a secular government over there. Of course in the Republican simplistic world, they say “we’ll arm the right people at the right time.” Yeah, good luck with that. Maybe better let Obama et al work things out. No time for knee jerk simplistic solutions.

    “You wish it were fiction,”
    When the right people write history, any good done from 2000-2008 will be the result of the Clinton administration, and any harm done from 2008-2016 will be the result of the Bush administration. Reality as known to those who lived in those days will be found in the science fiction section concerned with alternate history.

    I note it says fiction – but not science anywhere :)

    “I note it says fiction – but not science anywhere :)”
    It was removed because is was too controversial.
    Keeping religion out of science proved as difficult
    as keeping the science out of religion, so they
    just did away with both.

    I guess its not surprising you would think this was Obama’s archives. Seems that many on the Right’s comprehension skills are about as deficient as their reading skills to the point that everything comes up as a criticism of Obama.

    Perspective is a wonderful thing. We come to know ourselves by observing others.

    @Ajax 4Hire — “Bush Inspires”??? Seriously?

    “Bush Unites”??? Only those who have enough brain cells to coalesce cohesive thought …

    Actually we would all be better off if we ignored the trolls (Ms. Ima, HOWGOZIT, Gore Bane, ConserveGov, onguard, Ajax 4Hire, etc.) … all they do is spew the same one-and-two-line bulsit on each page — rants that get under the skin of right-minded people … consider that either (1) none of them care any more than to hit-and-run like most who spray grafitti on any blank space, and don’t really care what anybody thinks, or (2) some right-wing/Tea Party sugah dadda pays them to spew this garbage, making them low-life freeloaders, just as they accuse everybody who actually employs actual thought processes before posting on the Internet.

    I would be VERY interested to see a DD214 proving more than three months of honorable service from any of these right-wing trolls … but I expect that could never happen …

    Just a couple of cents from a 20-year USMC (Ret) who earned a master’s degree in something other than a redneck agenda …

    The biggest piece of fiction I saw was the liberal cartoon. Liberals wouldn’t recognize truth if they had to.
