That explains how so many things have failed in the Senate lately, except that they actually went to a vote and lost. How ridiculous it seems to allow the minority to have rights when the majority is clearly more correct and obviously superior.

They cobbled together a bill to stop the air traffic control problem, things get done when a certain party stops blocking everything.

The filibuster has one positive effect. It’s keeped hate-filled gun-worshiping radical right-wing extremists from launching a guerrilla war against their own government.

HUH? What the heck are you talking about? Aren’t there usage directions on the lefty Kool Aid? Sweet holy mother, stop trying to drown in the stuff.

A better analogy would be that the minority is preventing the car from moving forward (progress). I don’t really think of them as being in the driver’s seats. Unless we are talking about The House, where there are too many clowns in he front seat.

When we can all agree on what action is real progress, it is best to bury your valuables in the back yard and flee to high ground with a year’s supply of food and toilet paper. Until then, the clearly superior and enlightened will always be blocked and impeded by the ignorant and downtrodden. When the levee breaks, you got no place to stay. Oh well, oh well.

It called checks and balances… The Senate was designed to balance the States interest… If they are elected like the House of Representatives by the people then how is the state’s interest serviced? Let us try an experience… recall the two Dem Senators from NJ and have the Repub Governor appoint new ones…

The intention of the design often differs from its use. She forgot all about the Library, like she told her old man, now. And she’ll have fun, fun, fun ‘til the filibuster takes her T-Bird away. This adds to the mirth of the comic, because it is a common controversy as to whether females should be allowed to destroy on a whim, the child taking over their lives. It’s actually even more humorous with a bit of perspective. If such controversies anger some people, that also adds to the mirth supplied by human folly.

“Reverse Parties in Control and Davies would praise The Filibuster.”

Where do people get these outrageous ideas?
