    @Ms. Ima

    “Then they will sell them to Mexican drug dealers”

    It is obvious by some of your posts that you are an intelligent person. Truly, I can’t understand why you post things like the above, just to provoke people and piss them off?

    Why would anybody ever need that much power, to limit the right of others to possess firearms? To which side does this disputed philisophical point on the political map belong and how will they defend it? Discuss. Whoever wins the argument will probably be the best armed.

    It’s like this in Bedlam as a matter of course. One loony goes off on a screaming jag and soon they are all chorusing. Sometimes, you can hear them howling well beyond the Great Gate. Poor lost souls, all of them.

    Ansonia: La PIerre makes over $1 million a year, so that “non-profit” status is questionable on a personnel level. Just like when Elizabeth Dole took over at Red Cross and elevated her salary to outrageous proportion, while demanding we charge everyone we gave CPR lessons to.

    So is it or is it not, true that the agents under Fast and Furious had to let the guns go, because the gun laws in AZ demanded no interference? A person can buy a bunch of AR-15s and then turn around and sell them to whomever he/she wants. It’s like an adult buying beer for kids, only much deadlier – and the agents had to stand by helplessly as they disappeared.
    .
    My congressman (Issa) is not interested in the transgressions of FAF that occurred under the Bush administration.

    It’s totally true that guns don’t kill people, or at least rarely- about the only way you can kill someone with a gun is to beat them to death with it.There is no point in outlawing guns. They are out there, there are millions, they are made of metal and will last for a thousand years if they are kept oiled. Failing that, I could find materials in my basement that would produce a workable gun, and it doesn’t take much knowledge of the subject to figure out how to do it.BULLETS, on the other hand, are time consuming to make and require special equipment. Production of enough to do serious damage would require planning and patience that are not characteristic of those who shoot up elementary schools. And, working on such a project might attract the attention of someone sane.Bullets can be individually stamped, and their sale can be registered and entered into a computer base. They can be tracked from production to use, so that every bullet can be traced back to the person who purchased it. This way, a guy who wants to buy a couple boxes of bullets to go shoot deer, or the woman who wants a box to keep with the gun in her bedside drawer, won’t set off any warning bells. But the guy who is buying an arsenal will attract attention before he finds a more lethal way to do it.

    Funny thing is the more the gun control advocates prostitute theses tragic shootings, the more guns are sold, more guns on the streets. More people that probably shouldn’t have guns buying them because of the fear of more restrictions on gun ownership.

    …..at least some feel good about themselves for trying to solve the problem of evil with legislation.

    Over 2000 Australians were swat-teamed since their government hijacked the country and took their guns.

    Not that I think Obama and his desire for a “civilian” force equal to, equipped as well as our military would ever try anything like this……..well, not as long as there are over 350 Million weapons in the hands of the citizens.
