Ever notice that almost none of the people who advocate for “more boots on the ground” will ever have to worry about being in those boots?

All the news I heard and read today is, as bubblehead states; to protect the embassy. Nothing more. We don’t want another hostage crisis on our hands!

Bring all the troops home and build up strength to fight the global war that we will not be able to stop by these actions. When it becomes obvious that we must act, then act, and with all deliberateness and the full, unrestrained force of the military. Forget the lost battles and concentrate on the war. Ignorance and the party of NO will be put aside once the war is joined in earnest and we are forced to act in defense.

What really disturbs me is senile old men like McCain, who should know better, and simpletons like Graham, saying Obama has to call out the shots on what he intends to do, and then, to get the press and morons off his back, he does. THAT may be Obama’s greatest weakness. Now, the fact that the “announced” may well have little to do with what’s really going on might be better, but we do just need to stay out of Iraq, or anywhere else in the Middle East, especially as the two countries either stirring, or funding, that boiling pot, are allegedly our two “best buddies” in the region!!

It’s not about Iraq. It is about the 2014 elections. The only war that is significant to our leaders is the war to rule the US of A; to tighten the iron grip of totalitarian rule and remove any hope of freedom or self-determination from the useless peons who are unable to appreciate the God Given Goodness of Absolute Rule and must be punished for their 238+ years of rebellion against all reason and goodness.

I hope Obama is smart enough to get us out of the entire Middle East . We didn’t “break it in the first place”, as many of those who advocate American participation claim. Middle Eastern society has been broken for longer than the United States has existed. In the history of that region, peace has been a rare situation, always imposed by a government strong enough to prevent people who would otherwise be shooting (or throwing spears at) each other from doing so. It can’t be any different when the majority of people would shoot each other over religious differences that would be considered trivial by anyone who had any education that involved more than one book. And, those who are uneducated are convenient tools to gain power for those few who are not, which provides encouragement to keep them uneducated. But the saying " the enemy of my enemy is my friend" does not apply in this case. Each side is our enemy. We are “infidels”, making us more “killable” to each side than the other side and going over there to interfere is of no value to anyone in America. We need to simply stand back, allow them to manage their affairs however they would if we didn’t exist, and maybe in a few hundred years they will work it out. Once they realize that we have lost interest in them, perhaps they will return the favor and ignore us too. Killing each other is a more immediate goal.In those cases where we can infuse some actual education into the mix, that probably would be helpful— which is why they hate teachers more than soldiers. But military interference from America accomplishes nothing except creating hatred for our country, and leaving tanks, guns and bullets where they can be used to prolong the fighting. Granted, mutual hatred for America could bring the two sides together sooner than might otherwise be the case, to attack us, but that doesn’t seem to me to be a desirable outcome. Ultimately, each country belongs to the citizens of that country, and until they fix it themselves, it ain’t fixed.

“But military interference from America accomplishes nothing except creating hatred for our country,”

    Well that’s pretty hilarious, actually.
A terrorist group whose only purpose in living is to conquer the world in the name of their god and whose belief is that nobody who is not among the faithful is innocent, and is actually a soldier in the war against their god, and a proper target for their acts of terror, is going to get mad at us? You crack me up!

Have to decide if Bors realizes that Obama didn’t send Americans into a neocon hell the last time. Seems to only be the uber-progressive and ultra conservatives cartoonists who have somehow missed the history….

“Whenever America conquers a country it immediately tries to build McDonalds and Walmarts.”

Well sure. That makes perfect sense. The government sends in business men to clean up and subjugate the populace, which has no choice but to buy whatever they are told to buy.
Because that is how it works in the real world.
When making things up, I usually include a disclaimer that I am just making things up. You know… for the sake of integrity.
But I’m just making that up. Nobody would be stupid enough to water down their point by admitting that it was made up.

Today. Tomorrow it may be Obama and Biden. One of the keys to art is that it transcends the mundane and touches upon a universal truth. It’s usually a conservative truth that is unable to be expressed in a very liberal environment, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying it.
