As long as Islam rules, no nation can be bought kicking and screaming into the 17th century. A can be seen, only one century at a time…. will do… Pakistan will be backward forever, unless they throw off the shackles of religion.

It is a matter of which Christianity and which Islam.

I recall three american christians who worked for 30+ years in a karachi hospital who were killed by islamists because they “might” try to convert people to christianity. Thirty years serving your poor, and you get killed.
I’m sure glad in the hundreds of years of the Inquisition, and expansion of “Christianity” to the “New World”, as well as Asia and Polynesia, they didn’t kill any natives, or enslave them. BTW the retiring Pope (speaking of hundreds of years of "tradition’) was also as a cardinal, in charge of the office best known as the Inquisition. And of course, church teachings on contraception there have kept right up with the modern world.

The overwhelming majority of Muslims are fine with capitalism, education for women & democratic norms. Thinking the backward tribes are typical Muslims, makes as much sense as thinking the overwhelmingly Christian population of Rwanda represents all Christians.
Muslims trying to even the score are like a football team trying to come back from a 72-3 blowout. Christians still kill Muslims, but you don’t see that in the news much.
Amazing. You would think that by repackaging humans under a different brand with a different god that they would be different from other humans. I guess the box in which you are buried is not really indicative of the life you have lived.

A group of rioters on Monday attacked Muslims praying over the end of Ramadan, using knives, machetes and bows and arrows, Nigeria’s National Emergency Management Agency said.
