Google or no, it’s still hard to contact and/or have a conversation with someone who truly doesn’t want to be contacted. Let alone conversed with.

I truly wish Watterson would bring C&H back. Even for a limited time to give us his version of what has happened to our favorite snowman creating child.

I hate to admit it but I like Maria’s whole attitude, complete with her idea of how cave-men communicated (Me now have Google, You walk upright, invent wheel).

As you may know, Seth MacFarlane is working on reviving “The Flintstones.” One new device they will have will be the I-Stone.

I still don’t think he’s the right guy for that show. The fact that he created a hit show of his own is not qualification enough. Unless he’s going to radically alter his approach, or our way of seeing The Flintstones, it’s hard to imagine it working for the material. Some people think John Kricfalusi should do it- but there are problems with that as well. He would have to rein it in, so it’s not a half hour of extreme mugging and spittle flying, as one character after another simulates a complete nervous breakdown.

My biggest problem is that I can’t hear anyone but Alan Reed doing Fred. Even as a kid I noticed right away when the voice actor changed, and no one but Mr. Reed sounded right. I have to admit, though, that having two Betty’s never bothered me.

I was no fan of the later Betty. There must have been voice actors who could have sounded closer. Bea Benederet, the original Betty, had been replaced before. She was the first Granny in the Tweety and Sylvester cartoons, but June Foray took her place,

Marla, if everybody could just Google Bill Watterson and track him down to talk to him, they would’ve done it by now.

She’s a kid. At her age, that makes perfect sense because nothing has been tried or conceived until she knows about it.

I’m posting this again with the typo fixed. Hopefully, in an hour or so, the corrected version will make the incorrect version only a bitter memory.

Do I see Hobbes’s shadow hiding behind the corner in panel 2?

For the record- we do not know Bill Watterson. We’re just readers like you. I do have one cartoonist friend who went to school with him, but she probably hasn’t seen him since then. So I’m not expecting any calls based on that!
