LUANN is about the trials of becoming a young adult: the hilarity and drama, triumphs and flops, friendships and rivalries. Rich in character and intriguing "what'll happen next?!" stories, LUANN is a compelling saga of life's most volatile stage. Greg Evans was voted Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year in 2003 by the National Cartoonists Society.

Fair enough.

Did they run the Sunday strip a few days early? (If not, they sure ended the “Luann spies on Gunther and Rosa” story kind of abruptly!) o.0

Does this mean they are, indeed, seniors? Hmmm….

So can we take it that this is their senior year in high school? That would mean Quill’s coming over in the summer after graduation, which means that Luann will do nothing except moon over Quill for months while her friends are making college plans and moving away. Yikes.

We see that Luann is less interested in going to college than Delta and Bernice are.

Well, Bernice, maybe in another 25 years you’ll be a couple days closer to going to college. Pittsville is stuck in a time warp where teens go to high school for decades and NEVER NOTICE!!!!!!!!!! Oh, hey! Maybe they’re all dead, and they’re in hell. Or, more likely, limbo. Their relatives are all praying for their souls to move out of the Pitts (work with me, people) and to go on to the higher planes. Which might look very much like Cal U.
Okay, going to bed here. What time zones are everyone else in? I’m in Michigan—new strips post at 1:30 AM or a bit earlier. Good thing I’m a night person!

I believe that those fairs are open to juniors as well. It is never too early to start making plans.

I hope Bernice has been looking for schools prior to spring semester, senior year. Otherwise, hello, Pittsville Community College.

A one-panel strip on a Thursday? What’s this world coming to?

Such a boring week!

…So much for Quill/Luann. Perhaps it wasn’t getting Evans enough ratings.

Not only did Greg say as much last year, but also, when he introduced Quill they said he would be coming to Pitts as a senior, where he joined the same class as the rest of the group; which was about 3 years ago, in real time! Then again, Greg could skip to 3 years in the future (Like when Lu went from 13 to 16 overnight), and we would get to see Luann in her new profession as a call centre shill, offering “A free trip to Cancun; just give your bank account number, and leave your house key under the mat”
