LUANN is about the trials of becoming a young adult: the hilarity and drama, triumphs and flops, friendships and rivalries. Rich in character and intriguing "what'll happen next?!" stories, LUANN is a compelling saga of life's most volatile stage. Greg Evans was voted Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year in 2003 by the National Cartoonists Society.

Geez, girl, it’s not even worth flirting with him. Just lie and say “no” and call it a day.

Its not like they wouldn´t be able to go to australia on vacation.
BenderSastre said, 11 months ago
Austrailia?! That’ll cost a pretty penny.

This sucks. ’nuff said.

With her dad salary alone, I don’t think they cannot afford to go to the down under.

From the looks of his wardrobe, Frank is either a Mormon missionary or he works at Best Buy – the deGroots will be lucky to be able to finance an outing to the local Weenie World.

not every so-called middle class family has buckets of cash to go on trips to the other side of the planet

Uh, that was exactly my point. The last time anyone in that family went anywhere (school trips don’t count) was when Luann won a trip for two to Hawaii. Frank, natch, stayed home.

Back when I was in school, I hated my parents coming to the bus station to see me off at the end of the vacations. Once I was seated in the bus, and they were hanging about waiting for it to start, it became incredibly awkward. There was nothing to say; all the goodbyes had been made and everything discussed already. So it was just awkward shuffling with each side hoping the bus left as soon as possible, yet not able to say it out loud.
Kind of like Evans and this story line.

She’s already looking more comfortable about him moving away.
In a month she’ll be glad she didn’t give him her “all”.

“Frank, snatch, stayed home.”
…
Just what was Frank doing at home with the rest of the family gone? Hmmmmmm ………… maybe he’s not as boring as we think.
