An engineer with whom I spoke said creative engineering, wind turbines, tidal motion devices, and solar power could greatly reduce the cost, or even remove the cost, of desalination. The fresh water created could flow through aqueducts and a series of elevated pools that could create hydroelectric power as water flows back down to areas where it is needed on the other side of the mountains. It does not take much research to see the many ideas already being tested for generating powers in rivers, and in tidal pools. It just takes money to make it happen, and there are companies who prefer we get our power from other sources.Respectfully,C.
