A Democrat dreamland of high taxes on the few that work and then just millions of freeloaders.

Tell me when income tax hits 80% upper bracket, i.e level in 70’s

Tell me why on earth anyone would want higher unemployment. The closest you come is the tradeoff where things like a higher minimum wage is implemented which may drive up unemployment, but that is a tradeoff for allowing greater benefits from the job

In the present there are a lot of welfare bums, mostly those who believe that either

    R) entire deficit can be blamed on welfare for those who arn’t working ( takes up 12% budget, deficit is 20% )
    D) Can be laid purely on the back of the top 1%, taxes on middle class are evil

The reality is that for a society to be functional you do require some form of broad base taxation. The concept behind social democracy is to work as a community.

True, however the US isn’t a social democracy.
It is a representative republic. At least it used to be.
    Social democracies always, ultimately fail.

It must be killing you that California’s Democratic government is bringing the state back from your conservative desert of decline.

How is this different from me, graduating with an engineering degree during the Bush years and having to lay carpet for two years while job hunting?

Speaking specifically of China, their economy was a failure until they decided to go free enterprise (gasp….capitalistic). Of course, if the abuses of capitalism aren’t showing up yet, they should be soon.

Reminds me of the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation here in Wisconsin. No one will hire me because I have horrid neurological disease very similar to MS, but since doctors can’t figure out what it is without spending a lot of money on tests like a MRI, EEG, and spinal tap, and I have no health insurance, the feds won’t give me disability until I can’t walk anymore. So I’m stuck on a DVR wait list over 1,300 people long while I exhaust unemployment with a very uncertain future. What really irks me is that I want to work, but no one will hire me because there’s 20 other people who are healthier applying for the same job.

I call China modified Communist. They allow Capitalistic functions but those are determined by the State. Whatever Capitalism there is, is allowed only if it benefits the state.

Three cancer tumors, liver, lung, and colon, but I also can still walk. Not for more than five minutes nor can I stand for long either.
    .
“Find a sit down job” I was told.
A lifetime of warehouse and cargo handling jobs, no sit down skills for sale.
    .
Prognosis is less than six months and I get to do it without any medicines at all.
I would be upset, but being upset only makes it worse.
    .
Just explaining my lack of empathy for some of those who post nonstop complaining when their lives are doing so well.

If the odds of winning were truly 175,233,510 to 1, then you can bet that I would play.
