Jade, actually a good point. It’s a slick slight of hand. I prefer intellectual honest and truth/facts over political correctness, verbiage nuances and political party cheer leading.
In my book an added targeted fee or something of that ilk added by a local, state or federal government IS a tax… whether they want to call it that or not. A private enterprise may call it a fee for service, but when it comes to the government it’s always a tax.
I abhor both Reps and Dems alike that try and hide their taxes or anything else behind verbal gymnastics and one way mirrors. If you have to posture something contrary to what it is, then it ain’t good. (not a perfect statement, but it’s close).
