Several weeks ago, my wife had to have emergency surgery due to a small-bowel obstruction. Her GI surgeon later commented that his first interest in “guts” came from growing up in New England and watching the results when he stepped on gypsy-moth caterpillars. So who knows, Eva could become an acclaimed cardiologist.

    She will be a mortician.

Horror writer Robert Bloch (author of “Psycho”) used to say, “I have the heart of a small boy—I keep it in a jar on my mantelpiece.”
