Reminds me of the movie “Them” where the queens and drones of the giant mutated ants had taken off on wings. So any reports of U.F.O.s with descriptions. A young actor by the name of Leonard Nimoy was in that scene and made a quip about what Texans must be drinking to see such weird stuff.

Truth be known, the pilot who saw the flying ants was Fess Parker, who because of this part, was seen by Disney, the rest was history, Leonard Nimoy was a young sailor at the Radar, this was his first movie too.
