Pairing vintage comic art with hilarious, new dialog by Disney veteran writer John Lustig, Last Kiss revels in the absurdities of love, lust and 'life with lip.' The series originated when Lustig bought the publishing rights to a romance comic book series from the 50's and 60's, and started rewriting the stories for fun. Since then, the re-dialogued comics have been a popular feature in newspapers, magazines, comic books and greeting cards. Today Last Kiss is gaining popularity and is also available on email cards from Jib Jab and greeting cards from NobleWorks. Check www.lastkissinc.com for the latest news and product launches.

That ring and twenty dollars worth of beads bought Manhattan. And it hasn’t been worth anything since. : )

How come he is scowling here, but in the original he is smiling – but I can’t see difference in the artwork!
Nice subtle linework.

An additional level of funny is that the puritans made a point of being straight with the indians.

You are right, Ottodesu. Really nice line work. It seems to me, though, that in the original his eyebrow is slightly up and in the comic for today it has a very slight downturn. That and the change in dialog is all I see. Could that be enough to change the feel of emotion? Wow. Here I thought cartooning was easy!

@DoctorLarryO
there are also extra lines emphasizing the bottom corner of his mouth. the original has one small line, the Pilgrim version has two longer heavier lines, which make it seem like more of a frown/grimace.
