A victory for true Libertarianism, so hooray. Any conservative worth their salt is in favor of keeping government from telling people who they can marry.

The state is bankrupt, no pot of gold there. The jobs are leaving for Texas

No, California is actually doing quite well now, thank you. Passed its first budget within the legal time limit in years, employment is up, and it’s about to open up the world’s largest solar thermal power plant (Ivanpah) in its southeastern desert. So, stay in Texas and fry in 100+ degree heat and humidity (and drought) for the rest of the summer. Oh, and be sure to dodge the tornadoes.

apfelzra: Obviously the poor sucker actually believes Gov. Scarey’s big lies. The old “Thank God for Mississippi” line doesn’t even work any more most of the time.

apfelzra: It is a unique type of ignorance that accepts the words of one party while ignoring the fact that California pensions are out of control, the costs of the state are rising and accounting gimmics that put off recognizing expenses for another year have done nothing to improve the state. That California with ten percent of the nation has over 30 percent of the nations welfare recipients, or that Ivanpah will provide only a small part of the electricity needs and will never be able to pay back its loans due to the expense of transmission lines. Indeed two other solar plants at an expense of three billion dollars were forced to terminate development thanks to environmentalists. I know the energy business in California and the rates are about to shoot up, meaning even more businesses and people are voting with their feet and leaving. That includes businesses that pay taxes in this state and hire people. But hey, you still have all those wonderful welfare recipients. As for the debt http://sacramento.cbslocal.com/2013/05/01/report-californias-actual-debt-set-at-848b-could-pass-1-1t/ . Actual debt closer to 1.1 trillion and hidden in accounting tricks. You people reject science and reality and are almost fanatical religious hacks when you do that. Its partially your fault the state doesn’t look reality in the face.
