Way too much rebuttal and not near enough listening to Martin Luther King, Jr.

Lalo is sometimes too direct to be “funny” but I do appreciate the sentiment expressed.

It occurs to me that the conservatives are the ones who were against the “equal time” provision that used to be part of FCC rules. Why do they want time for rebuttals of anything?

    No Republicans showed up.

The “rebuttal” version of that WAS, “No Republicans were invited.” Folks been arguing about that on another board I frequent.

A local newscaster gave a tease reporting on the event that day: President Obama’s “I Have a Speech” coming up next.

Of course they were invited but in order to use subterfuge they say they weren’t. A hollow lie.

I’m a Democrat and I’m tired of all the cheap shots. LIberal Dem’s are inordinately fond of slander. None of that will solve problems.

Republican like Abraham Lincoln, who ended slavery?
Republicans like Teddy Roosevelt who founded the National Park Service?
    Republican like MLK Sr.?
Republican like Ike Eisenhower who lead the allies to victory in Europe?
Republican like Reagan who negotiated and approved the first "Comprehensive Immigration Reform in 1986?
Republican like Nixon who approved the formation of the EPA, (National Environmental Policy Act), the Clean Water Act, and the Clean Air Act in the early 1970’s?
Republican like Nixon who ended the Vietnam War?
Republican like Reagan who challenged the USSR to “tear down this wall!”
Republican like George Bush, Sr who expanded the Clean Air Act in 1990?
Republican like George Bush, Sr who kicked Saddam Hussein’s butt out of Kuwait?

    Need I go on?

How about the Democrat like then-Governor William Jefferson Clinton who raped the Democratic volunteer Juantia Broadderick in 1978?

Confusing past Republicans with present ones. We have already been through this several times.

You keep pounding that home and maybe you’ll convince more morons that the republicans are always the bad guys. So how’s Mr. President Obama working for ya now?

Sure, SOME Republicans were invited. No one expected any of them to show up. If they had, they would have been booed, threatened, and accused of trying to pander to “minorities”.
The whole thing was a whine-fest of low-life compaliners demanding more free stuff.
    Screw them.
