I don’t think they’ll do even that much.

OK, reality check here. It’s NOT a Republican Congress. Republicans control ONE house, the House of Representatives, 233-200 (2 vacancies), but Democrats control the OTHER, the Senate, 55-45 (including 2 independents who caucus with the Dems).

@Richard S. Russell
Sadly, not a super-majority, which is currently what it takes to pass a vote in the Senate. So, in effect, as long as the filibuster is as it is, the GOP controls the Senate as well.

Already floated the ideal of canceling the Affordable Care Act even though it is Republican based. (To them if Obama wants it it must be tainted with his rich darkness..)

Nope. Just vote 34 times to repeal ACA, instead of ever voting on a Jobs bill.

When the body which used to be the Senate was perverted into a second House of Representatives, competing with the legitimate representatives of The People to bribe us with our own money for votes, we stopped being a Constitutional Republic and the only check on runaway federal government was neutralized.
So it doesn’t really make much difference whether we elect Republican statists or Democrat statists, we will continually decline to totalitarian dictatorship. There may be some variance in the speed of the decline, but they all want to take us to the same place.

@peachyanddanny
Thirty-one jobs bills voted on in the House in the first Obama term.
Harry Reid refused to bring even one to the floor of the Senate for a vote.
Of course, you will not believe that.
Too busy kissing Obama’s (half) black ass.
