    So, in answer to my question from yesterday, either there is NO equivalent honor in Mexico or, if there is, it’s never been given to any gringos, is that right? (I recognize that “gringo” is an inexact term, but then, so is “Latino”, as witness its application to Placido Domingo.)

    What the hell does Mexico have to do with the ’toon? This is about American citizens being snubbed by an American institution!
    (p.s. ALL Latinos do not originate from Mexico!)
