The filibuster rule worked for over 200 years. It is only with the rise of the Progressive Left within the Democrat party that it cannot be tolerated as the Progressive Left is easly the most intolerant group in modern politics.
    .
Gerrymandering? Which party argues for minority voting districts? Which party wants all restrictions on voting removed for all intents and purposes?
    .
Political corruption? Tammany Hall? Huey Long? Richard Daley? “The Chicago way?” New Orleans politics? The Democrats nearly corner the market on coruption.

I see the teat party wingnuts are out in full voice. Living in a right-wing echo chamber does that.

Ansonia: according to “Lush Bimbaugh” this morning, 160 million, or 63% of those with health insurance, will lose it next year under ACA. HE’s of course ignoring all the insurance commercials on TV, especially the “news network programs” telling folks to come on down and sign up for health insurance! Those ads are also talking about better coverage and lower rates, So, okay, where is THAT coming from and how does it reflect the ACA destroying access??

    Fear and ignorance….
Hard to shake this off, with conservatives running things, thanks to the good old fashioned filibuster…and gerrymandering….and political corruption
    (the buying/selling of votes

The buying, selling of votes , voting more then once, the dead voting for 8 – 10 years after they die is the only way Democrats get in office.Dems think voter and election fraud is not a problem because when they get caught the leftwing news nerds don’t report it and fox made it up.So to the criminal democrats voter fraud is not a problem because they are the ones doing it.

Tell us how great the Obamacare albatross is again especially since you are not affected by it.

Obamacare is working really well in many states (there were nice articles on California and Kentucky over the weekend), and it’s improving across the country. No surprise there. The surprise is the GOP deciding that they simply cannot work on anything at all because they need to spend 100% of their attention bashing the ACA. They even pretend to be offended the Obama is asking them to pass an immigration law! But we’re not done whining about Obamacare! This policy will not work past January 1, at which point they’ll have to figure out whether they are actually in favor of anything, and if so, what.

I’ve read (here on gocomics from the Tea types) that the healthcare.gov website will cause a solidly Republican House and Senate in the ‘14 election, and a GOP House, Senate, and White House in the ’16 election.

And I’ve read (also here from the Tea types) that the problems with the healthcare.gov website will force the US to adopt the UK NHS, the system that would have killed Stephen Hawking (who is very lucky he works in the US as an actor on the Simpsons and never has to use the NHS).

And I’ve read (from the Obamabots) that, even though it was inexcusable that healthcare.gov wasn’t working on 1 October (when Obama went on TV to say it was working perfectly in spite of the shutdown, since it wasn’t using any government funding), it will be working before January, everyone will get a great, affordable healthcare plan, and all will be forgiven, the ACA will be an unassailable part of the US package, and Democrats will take the House in the ‘14 election, in spite of the gerrymander.

But for me, I always figure prediction is too difficult whenever it’s with respect to the future (Chinese wisdom?).

Ansonia, just turn off Rush, and his phony “sources”, and turn on the TV and watch a few of the ads, they’re common on news broadcasts. (But, considering the audience maybe not on Faux, I can only stand to watch a few minutes of their broadcasts, so don’t catch that many ads there.)
