Get rid of all the byzantine mandates and subsidies and make health care a public service like it is most everywhere else.

But that would mean the billionaires running the health insurance industry might lose a few million dollars and have to cut back to six homes a piece and four Lambourginis. How can you expect them to live like that?

Chuckles, it’s worked in every other country, including ones like Singapore that couldn’t be described as socialist by any sane person. All of them spend far less than we do while getting measurably better results.

‘Do not do anything until after the 2014 elections.’
Why do anything after the elections? Mitch McConnell says our health care system is the greatest in the world.

The answer has never been difficult.
This aversion to letting some other person get for free what we perceive we had to work for, it is not logical.
We gain with single payer as well as those poorer folks.
Nobody is stealing anything from anyone, it comes with taxes.
Oh, right, 47% don’t pay taxes.
People that don’t pay taxes, let their children die.
Sounds like hate to me. And I still pay taxes whether they get sick or not, no difference so why not be humane?

Once all the Germans were warlike and mean,
    but that couldn’t happen again.
We taught them a lesson in 1918
and they’ve hardly bothered us since then. — Tom Lehrer

The Germans won the Franco-Prussian War because the Prussians had universal health care and vaccinated all troops, while smallpox put most of the French Army out of commission.

Kafka says the Germans, under the tyrannical Kaiser, had abolished the death penalty and enslaved their subjects into universal health care.

Fortunately, every decent, freedom loving nation rose up and finally defeated those evil Germans in 1918.

    “47% don’t pay taxes.”

This lie has been debunked so many times that it only makes you look like an idiot. About that percentage don’t pay FEDERAL INCOME TAXES, usually because they have little or no income. All working people pay payroll taxes. Many pay state income taxes even if they don’t make enough to qualify for federal tax. Many pay property tax. And anyone who doesn’t live in a cave pays sales taxes.

    Health care equals federal tax.
I made my point because I am on the side of not having needless suffering of the poor.
What is the point of your rant?

My point is that those who say "“47% don’t pay taxes” are not only liars but are repeating lies that by now everybody knows are lies.

Yes, it’s terribly, terribly unfair that people no longer have to pay income taxes after they’ve had all of their income taken away.

Those people do, however, pay lots of other kinds of taxes, so people who claim they don’t pay any taxes at all are liars.
