    @Ms. Ima

    Well, Obama looked at the polls and decided to stay out of Benghazi, plausible deniability and al. So there is hope Clinton will not change her mind.That is unless Obama finds himself cornered. Then he might try to pin it on her. Then the claws come out and it will be Chicago thug politics vs the Clinton lie machine. That would be fun.

    ♫ ♪ O Canada, we stand on guard for thee ……. ♪ ♫
    (The Canadian anthem was originally written in French and it doesn’t translate well into English. It’s possible that the composer deliberately chose French words and phrases that did not translate well. That is type of mean trick that I would have done had I been a bilingual Quebecois.)

    A message delivered by a volkswagen full of clowns will be taken about as seriouly as this one.

    Even if it’s a serious message.

    And it’s not a serious message. The exclusion of Pickering from the latest hearings — even though he begged to testify — and then saying multiple times that Pickering “refused to appear” — pretty much says it all. This has zero to do with truth, or the people who know the truth would have been allowed to speak. It’s 100% politics. And no, Clinton never promised to stay out of politics, that’s your strange voices whispering to you, Ima.

    His being denied an appearance at that committee hearing actually came via the White House supposedly relayed from the committee. He tried and failed to establish contact on this subject with the committee.

    Pickering stated in an interview on NPR “Certainly I made every effort the day before the hearing, including through the White House and their legislative people, to seek an opportunity to join the team testifying before the committee. I was told through the White House that that had been rejected. I was offered a kind of consolation prize of some other time.”

    It’s this years “…pass it to see what’s in it…” so we will be hearing it a lot more. Those who post it have no intention of reading the full statement, or seeking knowledge.

    @ODon

    ODON: I posted the full quote on Ariail, but I got no rebutals.

    But since you ask, I’ll do it again:

    “Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night and decided they’d go kill some Americans. What difference – at this point, what difference does it make?”

    The problem with this statement, aside from the “What difference does it make?” part, is that neither of the 2 choices she’s giving us is the truth. It wasn’t a protest, and it wasn’t some guys out for a walk one night that wanted to kill some Americans. It was a premeditated, calculated attack by al Quaida.

    What’s equally disturbing is that at the time of Clinton’s testimony — January 23, 2013— she, and everyone else, already know it was an al Quaida attack, so by not including this as “one of the choices”, she is being purposely misleading.

    Had she said something along the lines of “Was it a spontaneous mob or a premeditated al Quaida attack? At this point, what difference does it make? We need to learn from this going foreward, blah, blah, blah…”, she would still be wrong, there would still be a coverup, but at least she wouldn’t be misleading dupes like you.

    “With all due respect, the fact is, we had four dead Americans! Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided they’d go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make? It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again.”

    That’s the full quote, and every time some right-wing halfwit posts their butchered lie, this needs to be posted right behind it to remind people that the Fox “News” propaganda machine cares only about making the opposition look bad, and couldn’t care less about getting to the “truth.”

    The cartoon has evoked the regular collection of liberal and conservative personal attacks on the “bad guys”. However, the cartoon reminded me that our national anthem is supposedly built on the tune of a British drinking song. The closest I could find was something called the “Anacreontic Song”, but the lyrics didn’t seem to fit the tune of Mr. Key’s song. Anyone know what the tune is?
    @ mikefive – you have the best comments on this thread so far, neighbor. Keep up the good work.
    I’m still waiting for more info and wishing our legislature would do some job stimulus. A few other things.
