    Well, the “average” American " on top of the news, and a well-informed conservative DOES know what Snooky’s up to. (’bout the same as Bristol, studying abstinence.)

    America is a very violent country. Why stop at violence against others? Any day now i expect to see people in the streets whipping themselves like medieval monks. The madness continues…

    Land of the free, home of the brave . . . is it suicide? Or the only way to get away from all the bull we’re expected to swallow unhesitatingly every day?

    Liberalism makes one question if life itself is worth living.

    Mental health support went out when Reagan came to power.

    @Rockngolfer

    No, the liberals declared mental health support racist and elitist.

    No, conservatives declared public mental health support to be big guvmint. And the private sector isn’t interested in supporting anyone who doesn’t have lots of money to pay for it.

    Of COURSE the Ultra-Conservatives don’t want mental health support, if we had mental health support in this country, there would BE no Tea-Party.

    I got to argue with this one. American violence is one of the worst myths there is in my opinion. Yes their is violence just like anywhere else. Look at the recent beheadings in Mexico, dozens of them.

    People say their is less violence in Europe but in Holland Greet Wielder has been living in safe houses for years from Islamic radicals and they put him on trial for hate crimes for speaking out against Islamic treatment of women. The court acquitted him recently. This is the same country were they killed Van Gough the film maker, who was killed by Islamic Radicals.

    When France has a riot they say it is social unrest not crime. No it is crime.

    So I’m not alone in feeling depressed/overwhelmed from time to time? And here I thought it was my version of ADHD (which I was born with)….
    The problem with mental support/therapy is that one has to want to go get it. Many insurance providers do cover it, so there may be a co-pay (look at your own health policy to be sure).

    And this doesn’t happen to just one political party —it could affect anyone. Life is hard now, but I just applied for disability, and if I have to, I’m going to fight back until I get it.
