This case showed that improving actual “intelligence” stops the folks BEFORE anything bad, or potentially bad, actually HAPPENS! We need to improve more, like getting rid of so many contractors all hired to do the same job, and STILL not communicate with each other, but somebody may finally be paying attention??

Their regular cloths. Men can’t be trusted to control themselves, so the women are expected to cover themselves when in public. We find it stupid, but it works for them.
In some cases, yes. They can where whatever they want and remI’ve their burqas in their own homes. The fashion industry is a huge business in Saudi Arabia. However, most women will wear whatever is most comfortable for them.
In some Islamic areas if a woman is raped then it’s considered to be HER fault. Often her brothers will kill her for bringing shame upon the family by tempting that Honorable Man over there beyond his endurance. Once she’s dead then they can take the blood feud out against HIM. Oddly enough, that’s how a lot of the continual violence in the Middle East started a thousand years ago.
Surely everyone is aware that there’s a wide range in how women’s modesty is “protected” in “the Muslim World.” In some places, yes, burqa-wearing is strictly enforced. In others, a head-scarf (even a loose, fashionable one) is sufficient. Turkey is overwhelmingly Moslem, but in (Western, urban) Turkey bare-headed women are the norm. Some would say that Istanbul Turks aren’t REAL Moslems, but then that’s what the Taliban and Al-Qaeda would say as well. Even in Iran there are fashionable, modern-dressed (although perhaps scarved) women living side-by-side with women in full Sharia-approved head-to-toe robes.
It’s no more accurate to paint all Muslims in the likeness of Saudi Arabia than to paint all Jews in the likeness of a Lubavitzcher settlement, or to paint all Evangelicals in the likeness of backwoods, snake-handling Holy Rollers, or to paint all Catholics in the likeness of Mel Gibson’s dad.
