Magnetic strip technology is 35 years old. What could go wrong? Insist on the embedded chip, people. Rest of the world’s credit cards have had ’em for 10 years.

More “killer technology” at our fingertips, like GPS units in cars that tell folks to go up roads in sedans, that even 4 wheel drive rigs can’t make it through! (or don’t tell you there’s snow on the road and you SHOULD be “bright enough” to notice?)

Crooks have always been quick to conquer “technology” from using lock picks, to software hacking, thus why “cops” have always needed to think like crooks, only faster.

Can I increase everyone’s paranoia? The trend is toward connecting everything to the Cloud. The Cloud is then the central point for all personal & financial data and the Governments of the world will tap into that for security reasons. Enjoy the day…

I changed my PIN number today, in person at my bank. The other thing I’m worried about is that Target had scanned my drivers license ID, without my permission. When you buy wine or beer, they ask to see your ID. I showed them my ID, and the clerk snatched it out of my hand and swiped it into a reader. That totally pissed me off, and I’ve been wanting to start a class action suit to at least make them STOP that practice.

You mean you have to show your ID to purchase adult beverages? Is that the same anger people show when asked their ID’s to vote?
Read what I wrote. Showing ID to prove you are of legal age to purchase alcohol is one thing. Having a company take my personally identifiable information (name, address, biometric data) without my permission is quite another. Come on, think about it.
And what the hell does this have to do with voter ID?
