Ohio is a victim of our electoral system based on the premise there are blue staes and red states that never change and a few swing states that do, but somehow, Ohio’s numbers end up having an inordinate amount of influence.
Hamilton wanted the electoral college because he felt the ‘common’ man isn’t smart enough to vote for a qualified leader.
A better option might be a tv show starting two years before the next election to help us.
So You Think You Can Lead on ABC, and The Candidate on NBC, and America’s Got Leaders on CBS. More people might vote and we’d actually get to hear real policy ideas.
“The first disqualifier for a person seeking the Presidency is…wanting the job.”
Don’t worry Ohio, just a few more days and that annoying ringing in your homes will end.
    Respectfully,
    C.

Many years ago “some group” (can’t remember them) came to the conclusion that the norm of people who run for President are at best fourth rate executives.

Look what happened when we elected someone who was not capable, like BHO!

    Not to mention shrub…and poppy…

Such a snappy and creative retort. Frankly, I expected better from you but than, I did from Obama as well. You both let me down and worse, Obama let this country down.

You certainly can’t fault Willard for not running. When he was threatened by the draft, he ran all the way to France.
