The Paul Ryan who voted for both wars without putting them in the budget, voted for the unfinanced Medicare Part D, both unfinanced bush tax cuts, and the unfinanced Bush stimulus? “Well, we haven’t run the numbers yet.”
    That Paul Ryan?

The compromise is great! It repeals the sequester of defence expenditures, and the army of goatherds armed with their sinister staffs and cruel crooks no longer has undefended access to the US (note that cutting a single cent from the defence budget leaves the US totally defenceless against those goatherds). It also lets extended unemployment lapse. Unemployment forces those collecting it to prove they’ve applied for jobs, which forces them onto the official unemployment statistics. Now that extended unemployment is gone, and the people collecting it have absolutely no hope of finding a job, we hope they’ll stop applying and conveniently disappear from the statistics and help get the unemployment rate down. Then both the seated, elected Democrats and the seated, elected Republicans can take full credit.

The repcons approved a budget that they have already announced they will not pay for (without exacting their to-be-announced ransom from the country) when the debt limit comes up again in a few months. Once again, it’ll be the Republicans playing political games with the economic health of the nation.

No silly response for now, the results are coming up very soon and then we will know for sure.

Like most legendary phenomena, the basis in fact is tenuous.

Tigger, sweetie pie, I disagree with your assessment. Don’t forget, I’m partial to all felines.
