Ya, what’s the big deal with the Secretary of State making up a fake story about how 4 Americans, including our Ambassador, were murdered?

Oh and then telling the same made up story to the mother (3 days after the attack) as her sons body was returned home.

    “What difference does it make”?

Mr. Issa joined in cutting nearly a half-billion dollars from the State Department’s two main security accounts. One covers things like security staffing, including local guards, armored vehicles and security technology; the other, embassy construction and upgrades. In 2011 and 2012, President Obama sought a total of $5 billion, and the House approved $4.5 billion. In 2009, Mr. Issa voted for an amendment that would have cut nearly 300 diplomatic security positions.

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Republican lawmakers asked increasingly tough questions today as they held another day of hearings to investigate, in the words of Rep. Darrell Issa (R-California), “Hillary Clinton’s suspiciously high poll numbers and what can be done to make them lower.”
“With the help of Fox News, we have brutally attacked Hillary Clinton for months, and yet she remains more popular than ever,” Rep. Issa said. “This committee needs to know how that happened, and how we can keep it from happening in the future.”

former DCI David Petraeus explained to Congress that the Intelligence Community deliberately omitted any public reference to any terrorist organizations that might have been involved in the Benghazi attack because they were protecting sources and methods.
The recently resigned spy chief explained that references to terrorist groups suspected of carrying out the violence were removed from the public explanation of what caused the attack so as not to tip off the groups that the U.S. intelligence community was on their trail. …
“There was an interagency process to draft it, not a political process,” Schiff said. “They came up with the best assessment without compromising classified information or source or methods. So changes were made to protect classified information.”

I think the question Republicans should be asking is how can we prevent this from happening in the future when we don’t fund security and aren’t running political campaigns against the people who we say are responsible.

She did such a good job in protecting the President’s hind quarters that they reelected the guy. Go Figure. YouTube? Those American pigs will believe anything. Back to the drawing board as to what to hit them with next so as the democrats can not explain it away this time.

A concise, meaningless riposte to a factual statement. No wonder the conservative movement is failing so spectacularly. Can you really not find a single fact to base your paranoid conspiracy theories on? Not even one?

Its roughly ….one half says "she said, he said " and the other one half stating that "he said, she said " …
Hopefully, RT will chime in and give us the majority view…and some sanity and reason…..
I think that I know better, that the conservatives vested interests are NOT with the people but with the wealthy..
But, as an example, a young man from India may only be confused, unless he too would spend a ton of time and study this subject….
When so-called liberals such as I counter the conservative lies with questionable logic (lies)….we are no better…..and its human nature to counter lies with lies….in my opinion

    @Adrian Snare

Are you sure that mine is a “majority” view, Mr. Snare?
Since the very days of this attack, it has been my view that we should make sure all of the other embassies and consulate offices are safe and wait for the final reports.
Republicans spent millions of dollars and hours of time to impeach Bill Clinton for lying about getting oral sex from an admiring fan. Yet today, Bill Clinton is a political rock star whose public outreach and community service is lauded across the world.
Now, Republicans are trying to impeach Mr. Obama for not being brilliant enough to know exactly what to do at the very moment Benghazi was under attack. It is possible that in order to protect his campaign, Mr. Obama misled the American people, however, according to the Republicans… there is no POSSIBLY about it. The conservatives have no popular message for the American people. They have not offered any solutions to getting Americans employed, they are more motivated to keep protect the 2nd amendment than they are in of the others, and they have no solution to the education, healthcare, or infrastructure crisis in our nation. They refuse to even allow people to talk about it. They won’t confirm judges and resist any appointments made by this President.
All they have is their hopes that Obama can be caught in a lie about Benghazi, or, failing that, keep enough doubt alive that their base will stay angry, motivated, and unwilling to talk about anything else.
I’ve seen Democrats use these tactics in the past, but never with the skill and degree of meanness that the Republican party is using.
I wish to compliment Scott Rigell, my republican congressman. Despite all of the pressure being brought to bear on him by national and state republicans, he seems to be voting his conviction over simply toeing the party line. I doubt they will support him next time, but if he continues to be an American who is also a Republican, rather than a Republican first, American second, I will be very pleased to support him.
By the way, did you hear the man from the heritage foundation study about latino Americans. The republican think tank, the one for whom Clarence Thomas’s wife worked for several years making over 200k a year just published a report stating that latino immigrants are not smart, their children are not smart, and their grandchildren will not be smart and they are going to cost our nation trillions of dollars.

This is not Ronald Reagan’s GOP. This is the way George McCarthy’s party did business. Divide, dehumanize, and spread fear until people overreact and under participate.
I liked your “he said/she said, she said/he said analogy.” A comment says Obama is bad, and the reply is basically, Bush was worse, That level of debate is up there with “Oh YEAH?”, “YEAH!!:” “SAYS YOU!!”
Have the lessons of Benghazi been implemented yet? If Republicans get proof that Obama and Clinton really could not have done anything more than what was being done, will they back down and apologize? Have Marines been deployed to the 13 at risk offices Ms. Clinton talked about at her hearing? Have the men coming forward at this time been at all coached or persuaded, and are they themselves partisan republicans willing to lie to help their party? If we’re going to suggest people are lying to protect the Dems, we have to at least note the possibility that Repubs are lying to help their agenda.
We don’t know what we don’t know. Let the investigation continue, the truth will come out. In the meantime, secure the embassies and tighten up communication between intelligence agencies. With nearly 1000 humans working at the same time in DC, maybe they can even pass some legislation that will help infrastructure, education, jobs, and healthcare. I would like to think these guys can raise money AND do the jobs they were elected to do. Though raising money seems to be the most important issue.
Thank you for your kind comment, Mr. Snare.
    Respectfully,
    C.

Bill Clinton for lying about getting oral sex from an admiring fan.
No it was not the sex it was the lie that got him kicked out and lose his lawyer license. He lied under oath. The irony, he was the one who signed the law he broke then lied about.

Now, Republicans are trying to impeach Mr. Obama for not being brilliant enough to know exactly what to do at the very moment Benghazi was under attack.
WHERE WAS HE!!!!!!!! Was he calling the shots telling everyone to stand down? was he in the Lincoln bedroom with a hat on the doorknob. All I know is that he LIED about what happened!

    @Harleyquinn

    Maybe.
    Someone is lying.
I haven’t decided who yet, tho it appears your mind is made up.
Really, i didn’t use the words, “under oath” and you’re going to bust me. Saying he lied wasn’t enough?
And Obama was 5220.8 miles away. Resources were all over the place apparently, but were either too far away, occupied with events in Tunisia and Egypt, or “terrified of creating an incident just before an election.” and being told to stand down. I’ve heard other versions.
I have never claimed to know what was going on, but there have been good stories from the good go. None have been proven “wrong” but some haven’t sounded ‘right’ either.
The difference between you and I, Harley, is I’m saying I don’t know, and you’re saying I’m wrong because I don’t know.
I want them to put out all of the fires and then tell me what happened. You appear to want confessions and consequences for Obama, Clinton, and all the people involved more than you want those 13 at risk stations upgraded.
I’m glad you know the truth. What is being done about the embassies?
    Jobs?
    Immigration?
    The debt ceiling.
Where is CONGRESS? Why aren’t they writing legislation other than what is needed to make sure they get their planes on time.
    Tiredly,
    C.

I do not KNOW what the full true story is about Benghazi, but in another 3 to 5 years, there will be documentaries about it on the history channel.
