    If you are watching a baseball game on tv and someone runs onto the field it is not shown because it would give others the idea that could also have their “15 min” of fame.
    Take a cue, media.

    Let’s not forget that our police now spend much of THEIR time dealing with lunatics that should be helped in a hospital; but that costs too much money and we don’t want to think about these crazies; maybe they’ll just go away….

    CNN`S 24 hour coverage sure makes things better.

    Good toon Jen. (Can’t believe I typed that)
    They should never have shown his videos and only mentioned his name once.
    The non-stop coverage sends a giant message to other sickos that if you want your crazy thoughts to be heard by the world, just kill a bunch of innocent people.

    @Michael wme

    That was myself that talked about “muckers” not mentioned in the review. Oh we got them too! Blame it on population density and a lousy economy etc.

    Nice to see MSNBC now not referring by name or showing the murderer’s face. Good.

    4my: killed roommates, possibly asleep(?) with weapons requiring arm’s length contact distance. Killed strangers with a gun, from 100 yards away, cowardice distance. Ran a guy down with his car, a common weapon of choice in Bosnia, and the occasional resisting arrest case our cops also see.

    Let’s all thank uncle ronnie raygun. He started the trend to closing institutions that help people with mental problems. His action merely shifted the work from trained professionals to the police departments of America. He saved a few dollars on staff, but greatly increased law enforcement time spent on challenged people, added to the burdens of our court system, jails and prisons. All the while making it more dangerous for other people to be on the streets. Thanks uncle ronnie raygun.

    @Tigger

    “And if anyone sees a You Tube Video of someone threatening such violence, they need to contact their local Police Department with the URL for the YOU Tube Video so the Police can arrest this person before they can harm anyone or themselves.”
    .
    He had killed his roommates before he posted the video. He posted the video and immediately set about killing others with his guns. The time lag for police to read the email, view the video and then go look for the guy is there. Or hadn’t you noticed?
    .
    I think his parents should have stopped giving him money and sent him out to look for a job.
