When the libs in government can force us to buy insurance and decide what size soda we can buy, I don’t blame people for wondering what’s next.

The republicans put in a provision that people on drugs or drunk can buy guns. (see the Jon Stewart show)

Come on, Stahler! Protecting kids in a normal suburban grade school REQUIRES a fire rate of 50 shots per minute! Grow up!

If speech were more restricted and controlled, one life may be saved because people couldn’t lead others astray.
If searches and seizures didn’t need warrants, we would be safer.
If we could force people to confess, we could get more criminals off the street.
If we controlled access to guns generally, fewer people would be hurt by guns.

We willingly trade Safety for more Freedom with the other enumerated rights, but the 2nd amendment?: remove all rationality.

The NRA keeps talking about bad government, evil government coming to take the guns away. Personally I figure since government is already doing the time, they might as well commit the crime! Keep saying long and loud enough and one day, hopefully soon, what they’ve been warning against will happen! I would love to see the NRA having to live up to their talk, I would! The thought of Wayne LaPierre facing an Abrams tank . . . poetic justice!

You keep spaming this wrong ideal. Historically you take away guns you get MORE gun violence not fewer! and if you are willing to give up freedom for safety you deserve neither.

I do not know about taking away but they just keep pointing out the stricter the gun laws the more gun deaths. And it seems to me our community organizer in chief will not be happy till the whole Nation has a high of gun rate deaths as Chicago.

Can you blame the NRA? Obama is treating those who want to own a gun like we where Barney Fife and only need one bullet in our pocket.

The worst thing about our political process is the use of fear as a tool to motivate people to vote a certain way. They are literally scaring people to death. They are definitely making us less civil and respectful to one another. They are creating a monster they will not be able to control. All it takes is an extended crisis/disaster and a few days of not getting water/food to localities and very bad things will happen. Look how hard it is for people to be civil in comment forums. GC is better than many.
Fear is not how you motivate people to do good.
    Respectfully,
    C.
