Netanyahu: head of the 51st state of the U.S., and honorary President, Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, Attorney General, and Chaplain of our nation!

The problem of U.S. marines in Iran is that Iran might not approve.

And just how much open arms welcoming have the Muslims done all along for our troops? In particular, when our own extremist televangelists all say what a wonderful opportunity our troops will present for the conversion of Islams to Christianity. If you were a true Muslim, (and I am a Christian) just how would you feel about such an occupying army upon your own sacred lands? Of course, having marines there does give the various waring groups of Muslims a great opportunity for banding together. But, it is our own people that then pay the price! So, let us just stay the H*LL out of the Middle East, regardless of what the Israelis and the Saudis want!!

Also, if we were not there in the Middle East, then that frees up the Israelis to do their own bloody (and I do mean bloody) work. If they and the Saudis are so concerned, then let THEM pay the price!!!

Agreed. Use more exclamation points if you choose. I said the same thing during Gulf War I with Poppy Bush at the helm. The Saudis watched from the wings while we saved their sorry asses from Iraq’s advancing troops. And we made our women cover their arms, and not drive. AND we outlawed any celebration of Christmas (including the singing of carols), so as not to offend our “friends”. I am a practicing non-Christian, and I’m still incensed.
And what did it gain for us? “My country invaded Iraq, and all I got was this expensive gas.”

Netanyahu has proved to be no friend. He makes demands and offers nothing in return. Frankly, Israel has given us little value for all our investment, and I’d be just as happy if we left them to their own devices. Let them make peace with the Arab states on their own if they can. Without us, Bibi won’t be so belligerent.

I think if the objective was to deal with the nuke situation with Iran, yes this was a monumental mistake as it accomplished nothing and even took things backwards.

Of course, my opinion is let Israel deal with Iran on its own terms. We don’t need to get ourselves wrapped up in any more messes, regardless of whether it’s the UN’s idea or whose.

You have a very naive view of the world if you think Israel “taking care” of Iran would not involve us.
