Good cartoon!. Why should they be spared the indignity of being interrogated about their “intentions?” They should be subject to all the inequities and pain of marriage that all the rest of us are. Add to that it will be a boost to the divorce lawyers.

I will be glad when we can settle this issue and move on.

Fine. Now that that’s settled, lets haul the thieves of wall street into court to be tried for their massive financial crimes.
Then send cheney/shrub/rumsfeld to the world court to be tried for their many massive and deliberate war crimes.

My Mother absolutely LOVED my partner when they were alive. She thought of him as another son!

There was a wonderful add once that asked What’s wrong with Gay Marriage? Answer: the same thing that’s wrong with any marriage.

My partners parents (and we love each other), were worried that we might have gotten married (when it became legal here) without telling them. so sweet.

i let them know that we would never get married without making sure they were there.

my parents are long dead, but they would have loved my partner.

i have the unique opportunity to taking my partners father on many adventures (racing cars, boats, winning a championship) “bucket” list items for him. He has taken me to incredible concerts. We are truely an extended family.

    Love IS a famliy value.

Grandma is speaking to the two brothers? Grandmothers (and others) force a lot of people into marriages that may have benefitted from a bit more courtship time.

Exactly as it should be. NO DIFFERENCE. None! That is how America needs to work if it is to remain a great nation.

Well said. I saw an old friend (now far away) with his partner recently, and took the opportunity to say “so when are you two crazy kids going to get married and have a bunch of kids?”

Leave it to Howie to take a positive, productive discussion and poison it with bigoted hatred. Why do you set such a disgusting example of conservative thought? Trying to drive people away?Oh, and by the way, Barney Frank is already married.

Over the years, I’ve had gay and lesbian friends and associates at work, and in the military over 40 years ago. I’ve never known any of them to be as bigoted, or aggressive to deny rights to others, or kill them, as “good Christians”. Being “straight”, and mostly a Buddhist, I’ve also felt letting others alone if they do no harm to those “other others”, whether religious, ethnic, racial, or species differences are under discussion, “do unto others” is a good philosophy that predates Jesus by several millennia. Too bad so few “Christians” in America take that small lesson to heart.

I have to agree. If Howie wanted to be wanted to take a cheep shot or be snarky, he knows how to do it up right. God knows he’s had plenty of practice. “Dinner at the Franks’ house.” reads fairly neutral.

“She is happy not to be a great-grandma.”

My grandmother was dropping hints before we graduated from high school.
