You two are….weelll…look again. It’s a “family” Mom, Dad and child WORKING to improve their home on a holiday because it’s now the only time they have to do stuff like that because they have to work until July to PAY TAXES.

I’m of the ‘Work smarter, not harder’ philosophy.

An intelligent person knows that patriotism is measured by what you do for your country, not by the size of the flag you fly.

Take the flag down until the paint dries (an hour or so for modern paints), and have the child help on other tasks.

Paying taxes Bruce, wow, you got off paying taxes for Iraq. Stop whining, or do you like tax cuts for millionaires? Romney’s tax plan makes for higher taxes for the middle class while giving millionaires big breaks. She’s helping her father, because her brother is in the bedroom trying not to have flash backs from the I.E.D. concussion injury, with secondary PTSD, he suffered while serving in Iraq. Vote Romney, payoola for millionaires, higher taxes for you!

On your planet, did the decline of wages and salaries for the middle class to a level existing 40 years ago not happen? Did the cost of healthcare stay constant instead of rising far faster than the CoL? Do you have full employment? Do the wealthy and corporations have no tax shelters, Swiss bank deposits or foreign subsidiaries to send tax-free money to? On my planet these are the problems – not taxes which are very low as a potion of income. On my planet the military-industrial complex absorbs huge amounts of tax money to “keep America free” — of domestic dissent.

It’s a man and woman painting the side of a building while a third person (who may be a child) holds an American flag out of the way. Is it a home or a public building? Are they hired painters? Are they home owners who work 12 hour shifts 7 days a week or minimum wage? You don’t know. You know nothing of their history or “story,” so don’t add to it.

I love the little details such as the brackets holding the rain gutters and inclusion of the fasteners. All in all, a very detailed piece of art.

Danziger does great artwork, AND he shows respect for the flag.

Those who literally wear the flag (cut up) as clothing items, should go play on freeways. That is NOT “patriotism”, left, or right, it is disrespect, and sorry, as someone who DOES observe flag protocol, I find it an insult to all my friends who died defending what the flag stands for!

In December 2010, The Democrat Controlled Congress voted ‘Yes’ to extend the ‘W’ Bush Tax Cuts for only Millionaires, and President Obama failed to stand up to the Democrats and Veto this bill extending The ‘W’ Bush Tax Cuts for only Millionaires.

“Oddly enough, its Democrats who do this more than Republicans”

Not in my neighborhood. The flag displaying residents around where I live who don’t observe the flag protocols usually also display pro-Republican lawn signs during election season. Most of the residents around where I live who usually display pro-Democrat or liberal lawn signs don’t display flags in their yards.
