North Korea has been a scary entity for the past 64 years (or more) since the cessation of hostilities was signed.
Under President Clinton, the former President Carter brokered a deal and voila! They were given equipment to refine nuclear materials during that time. During President Bush’s tenure, nothing was really done. During President Obama’s administration nothing was really done – a few meeting here and there when one Kim or the other rattled a few sabers.
Nothing has been done with these people for 64 years. I am NOT advocating war. This is NOT just President Trump’s making. China, South Korea, Russia, Japan, and our nation have a long standing link to blame. And the pathetically useless UN has done nothing either.
The U.S. needs to tone it down a bit. Not that they are wrong in what they say – but because no one, and I do mean no one, can predict what in the hell North Korea can and will do, or when they will do it.
