    Good point. I gotta wonder how much surfing the web is affecting how well we can just think without visual aids.

    Good Point. Older people tend to do that — so many memories to sift through. Present things constantly remind them of past things.
    I can sit for a long time in a doctor’s office without reading magazines ofrwatching television. I pick things out from my surroundings and let my consciousness flow.
    Jorge Luis Borge wrote “Funes the Memorious” about a young crippled gaucho who could forget nothing and and compared every second of his perceptions to several other things in the past.
    He was so caught up in past details that he was almost incapable of fresh thought.
