The thought of a HAT seems to be alien to them both. Me I have a thinuslate parka with hood and ski gloves and a stocking cap. Screw fashion, I go for warm.
If its really bad I break out my dads arctic issue Parka. It weights a ton but I can stand in a sub zero blizzrad and be toasty.
