    Boorish behavior is not the same as misogynistic policies.

    Being a perv isn’t the same as wanting to make a law to jam a transvaginal ultrasound into every woman who wants an abortion, which the right wants to outlaw anyway. That’s your war against women.

    So…it’s just fine to see and treat women as nothing more than sex objects as long as you don’t interfere with her right to an abortion?

    The actions of a couple of Dems. is not the platform of the party unlike the Republicant platform which attacks women and their rights.

    As a liberal, but nowhere near being a socialist, I will speak up to silence the conservatives. Mr. Weiner is sick. Having had his dirty laundry (literally) aired all over TV and internet, he continued his behavior. This is a sign of mental illness, and it is sad that he is being enabled. It shouldn’t matter in the long run, as it appears his chances of winning (among Democratic voters) are small.

    Mr. Spitzer was one of the few government officials willing to prosecute white-collar crime, and did a good job of it. I would have really liked to have seen what he would have done when Wall Street crashed the economy; I am quite sure things would be very different today if he was still in office when that occurred.

    He hired prostitutes. While it is true and very unfortunate that a number of prostitutes are forced into the “profession”, they are usually people of minimal means and have made poor decisions about the people with whom they associate. However, if you can demand, and get, $1000 per “encounter”, you are not worried about a pimp-thug beating the living crap out of you for minor infractions. Those women do it because they are willing to do so for the income it brings. Same with Sen. David Vitter, who—for those who are counting—did not resign while committing the same “offense”.

    However, these are isolated cases, and the laws restricting access to birth control, true sex education, alternatives for military women who have been assaulted, and, yes, abortion are common in almost every Republican-controlled state house and in the congressional Republican caucus.

    I’ll say it again: if you have never been in the position of having to decide if you want/need an abortion, you have no frame of reference. I trust the women to decide the issue much more than men. If you can’t “walk a mile in their shoes”, you ought to stay out of it.

    Since Payne can’t tell the difference between anti-women policies and the personal behavior of a politician, he’s earned the Dumb(o) award:

    If American voters supported candidates that were acting in their interests…

    Sorry, I can’t impinge on Harry Potter/Narnia/Middle Earth for Fantasy, so I’ll leave it there.

    Granting a non- existing right to butcher their babies is somehow beneficial to women? The twisted rational of the Godless Left.

    The hypocrisy from the right is positively amazing, from the “character” of good old Newt Gingrich honoring his wives, to all the legislators trying to ban women’s rights, usually with anti-Constitutional intent for theocracy in America, narrow minded morons don’t own mirrors?

    @Molon Labe

    I nominate all ovaries have their eggs stripped out and children grown in labs, therefor we can mitigate the nearly 1/4-1/3 of all pregnancies that end in miscarriage. Human biology clearly discriminates against humans

    And the Liberals have a war against babies, half of whom would be women if they were only allowed to live!
