I don’t think the Republican Party believes in conservation: “Drill baby, drill”. Nor do the Republicans believe in climate change. Why would Henry be concerned about what Obama drives?

Obviously Payne would like to see more electric cars.

Dude you really don’t know us very well. We are concerned but we also know if you ruin the economy it will only make things worse for the environment. It is true when I was in Iraq I saw parks and mediums turned in to landfills and I saw people living in those landfills.

As for today’s strip, how about something useful like cars that can run off of natural gas and gas both. That tech has been around for years.

It’s called hypocrisy. The cons have made it an art.

LNG is a hazardous fuel to handle, propane is safer. Hybrids, and for short-range commuting electrics make sense. There are also gasoline vehicles getting over 50 mpg.

It’s about using “tech” for conservation, not just continuing to put more money into petroleum/energy company pockets for short term profits on extraction.

Yeah… hybrids don’t take to bullets and mines very well…

    - Ummm, that’s not “his car,” it’s the car assigned to all US Presidents.

    - President Obama’s car will be whatever he gets when his term ends. Probably something from Tesla Motors.

    - Screw hybrids, go all-electric!

    - Officially, President Obama will be the best US President since FDR on 2017. Unofficially, he already is.

It must be nice deciding what history will say. Sorry Reflux but you will never rub warm body oil over Barack Obama.

What we need is a John Galt engine, one that, as it runs, produces more energy than it consumes, and so can power itself. This would eliminate our dependence on Arab oil, and also stop the so-called ‘global warming’ since we would need no fossil fuels.

But the dimlibs keep saying we must believe the medieval Laws of Thermodynamics, which foolishly say that a perpetual motion machine is not possible. What nonsense. Aristotle had no ‘Laws of Thermodynamics,’ so Rand had no ‘Laws of Thermodynamics,’ and only the dimlibs believe in such idiotic things as a spherical earth, evolution, and thermodynamics.

The earth is obviously flat. The sun rises and sets, the earth isn’t rotating (or we’d all be dizzy, not just the dimlibs), the earth was created in 4004 BC, and a John Galt Engine would be possible if the Thermodynamic professor nay-sayers didn’t discourage people from inventing it!
