The little twit IS a nut, BUT, which country already HAS hundreds of nukes, and keeps threatening to bomb its neighbors, TODAY?
trm said, 8 months ago
@trout: none.
But I can tell you which middle eastern country is presided over by a religious fanatic nutcase who continually talks about destroying Israel, and is developing nuclear weapons to do it.
But knowing you, I’m sure you have no idea who I’m talking about.

Everyone knows that the people of that country are the smartest in the world, so smart they’re able to build hundreds of nuclear bombs without needing a gram of refined fissile matériel.
It’s been reliably reported that, in his multi-million dollar villa in Pakistan, bin Laden had developed a recipe to make thermonuclear weapons from felafel, so why couldn’t the nation in question make them from matzoth?

Apparently the Iranians are smart enough to figure out how to enrich uranium. Quite a number of sources worldwide have reported this to be the case, which is why the UN and the world community are so concerned. They’d rather not have a nutbag like Ahmanidiwackjob in posession of one or more nuclear weapons, given his repeated threats to destroy Israel and kill all the Jews.
But go ahead and continue to live in denial. I’m sure that’s one of the 57 states Obozo likes to talk about.

Odd, I’ve never heard that threat of using nukes.

I think trout is making two different arguments: (1) Israel has a lot of nuclear weapons; (2) Israel is threatening to attack Iran to stop Iran’s nuclear weapons program. Both of these I think are true. I don’t think he necessarily meant that Israel is threatening to attack with nuclear weapons. That, I believe, is not true. Iran’s threats are somewhat vague but on the other hand they are big threats. Israel’s threat is quite specific and not at all unlikely, but narrowly targeted, one hopes and expects. How do we judge a big vague threat against a specific large threat? Someday George might burn down John’s house, but tomorrow John is very likely to punch George in the nose. Anyway, I really don’t like the idea that Iran might get nuclear weapons, and I also don’t like the idea that Israel already has them, and I’m very concerned that there may be an attack in the near future, and things could get out of hand. And of course there’s always India and Pakistan waiting for the right moment as well. Hey, how long will it take before somebody loses control and these things start going off?

Wars are wonderful as long as America isn’t involved in them.

MIkefive: Who said “nukes”, I said “bomb”, though some of those penetrator devices ARE nuclear. It IS interesting that critical reading (or listening) skills aren’t on the agenda for most of the “right”, like, well, Mitt, Ryan, Boehner, McConnell, TEA party folks, and any “dittoheads”.

I guess I became confused by the conjunction between “nukes” and “bomb”.
