    One of those two words is going to wind up in the OED as the word of the year. Start voting now. I pick “compantitors”.

    This is going to be fun. A realistic relation between two very similar people, with a unicorn providing colorful commentary.

    @ujean

    I love the way they invent words. All relationships are complex. I vote for “competipanions”. Now its time to go riding in the real world!

    Have to deal with the iron hooves first. Involves rare earth magnets in a star configuration pma windmill. You’d have to have a high scoraigwind.com or crash and burn.

    compantitors, although I would have to ask Marigold for a magical translation of that last posting, in case it had hidden relevance..

    They’re rivals. They’re comrades. They’re rivrades!

    Also, ‘to shoot off the legs of his rivrades’ is a possible undesireable tanglejump being in the black mountain hills of Dakota.

    Between the two, compantitors is better.

    But it really should have been competanions.

    What’s wrong with sticking to two words?
    Friendly competitors.

    So what’s the deal with this strip so commonly being posted so late in the day, if not a day late? I realize you’re a west coaster, so you’re technically several hours behind the east coast artists, but aren’t these strips produced ahead of time? Just curious.
