Must be nice having a unicorn around if only for that one trick :)

Hey, even a duck has to have priorities. Who knows how long those bread crumbs will last? Some of those other ducks might get it first!

    Don’t bash ducks Phoebe.
I guess Marigold is safe there, the ducks swimming around would break up any reflection and keep her from getting stuck.

The shield of boringness must become the shield of total indifference when its around hungry ducks and bread crumbs.

I Supose Phoebe, or Dana, forget about the shield in some moments.

Check out Dana’s sketches on Tumblr if you haven’t recently. Marigold meeting a couple guests. And a picture from Dana’s sister of Phoebe and Dakota as tweens.

I wonder if fishing from that dock would improve my luck…

So far she has used a rainbow for a bridge and a dock. She can cast a rainbow just about anywhere and walk on it. She can teleport, dimensional gate, levitate, magic text, pass unnoticed or hold people spellbound.

Well, another bit of datum on unicorn powers. Ducks don’t have the capacity for wonder. They may not have color discrimination like ours.

Hey, you’re SITTING on a rainbow and all you can think of to do is feed the ducks.

    .
Birds normally can see the colors we can. Hawks and perhaps others can see UV.
    .
Apparently it’s for catching rodents, though. One of the projects I did for my masters was to go through the entire university’s collection of bird specimens, illuminating them in longwave and mediumwave UV for fluorescence. Not one did, which was surprising. The white feathers reflected UV, but that was it.

I’m surprised Marigold wouldn’t know that the best thing to feed ducks is corn – it floats, and bread, though usually innocuous, can sometimes do them harm – throwing it in the water can lead to diseases and malnutrition. But corn is very healthy for them!
