    Become a better liar, than you are ready for a career in politics.
    We had a spell of warm weather and my horse managed to find a dozen ticks, on his butt and in his tail. Just the kind of bug we all can appreciate.

    Marigold’s tail is cute as a puffball.

    Oh Marigold! That last panel is better than coffee to get the morning started.

    Even Marigold’s scarf is quite alarmed.

    Of course Phoebe should not be surprised when she has a lump of coal in her stocking December 25th. (I don’t think there will be a bundle of switches as that wouldn’t be congruent with her parent’s child development practices).

    I’ve found that, as a (former) writer, lying comes pretty easily to me- it’s just another version of storytelling.

    I just happen to not enjoy lying to people.

    Phoebe, you’d better hope Marigold doesn’t respond in kind. To paraphrase an old commercial, “It’s not NICE to fool your Unicorn!”, to be followed closely by sturm und drang.

    http://www.world-science.net/othernews/141208_honesty.htm – Punishing kids for lying shown not to work, and may just teach them they need to become better liars.

    Marigold, who has faced goblins, lake monsters and dragons, is creeped out by a little bug?

    @Jonathan K.

    A bug is a blemish.

    One of the downsides of having such a complex brain is the ability to create myths big ones and small ones.
