Lucas kept changing the storyline every year or two for a while when he ran the show. No reason that Disney couldn’t do the same thing.
For example, when I was a kid and the fifth year anniversary star wars came out in theaters in 1982, they had added “Episode IV” to the screen crawl.
It’s really too bad that Lucas didn’t do what he originally said he would do with the franchise by having a new movie every three years. When fans eagerly awaited the next movie in 1986, they got the flop “Howard the Duck” instead. And nothing more until 1999.
Didn’t bother to watch the overtly political Revenge of the Sith or the movies that Disney made. Given what Disney has done to other movies (such as hiring the director who wrecked the Star Trek franchise) there didn’t seem to be a lot of point to seeing any of them.
