I was always surprised that there weren’t any sequels to ET or Close Encounters.
And I always thought that was for the best.

    I agree.

Didn’t like E.T. much. I thought the perfect sequel would be D.T., where E.T. returns with an invasion fleet, stealing every alcoholic beverage on the planet… Instead of saying “B”, ET could say “BEEEEEER” like a zombie wanting brains.

    I preferred “Eddie Torrez.”

don’t give them any ideas Hollywood is rehashing old movies like they are the newest and greatest scripts ever. It was bad enough with Disney, Someone needs to invent some new materials.

    I agree. I wonder what M. Night’s been up to lately . . .

Then the third movie would be DDT, where the authorities use poison to get rid of the aliens.

“E. T.” no, but there could be much more to the CEOT3K or even 4K or 5K.

They’re also taking classic cartoons and turning them into bad live-action adaptations. At least the Mr. Peabody movie is all CGI.

I almost thought that was a real ad, except the scenes with Morgan Freeman and Bruce Willis were obviously lifted from other movies.
Not to mention using Reeses Pieces to lure the aliens to their doom.
    Still, watching ET’s kicking ass…

E.T. was the sequel to Close Encounters. The little kid in Close Encounters was the man trying to help E.T.

Well… there was a book, E.T. and the Green Planet.
